Does anyone know if there is a way to prevent Windows from automatically reordering (refreshing) the contents of a given folder? For example, after arranging my files in a particular order, can I ensure that Windows leaves them alone (as opposed to putting them back in alphabetical order at a later time)? I appreciate any help with this question.

Under View I use the "Icons" view.
I can drag them around & they stay put.
I use this setting in Folder Options--

If I change the view from Icons & back again it reverts to listing by a,b,c,etc..
