Einstein's Riddle!

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.
The question is: Who owns the fish? Just to make sure you are not making any wild guessing, please include the nationality, color, beverage and brand of cigar. thumbup2.gif

Hints:
  • The Brit lives in the red house.
  • The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
  • The Dane drinks tea.
  • The green house is on the left of the white house.
  • The green homeowner drinks coffee.
  • The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
  • The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
  • The man living in the center house drinks milk.
  • The Norwegian lives in the first house.
  • The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
  • The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
  • The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
  • The German smokes prince.
  • The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
  • The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.
Einstein wrote this riddle early during the 19th century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it. Its not hard, you just need to pay attention and be patient.

Woah, nice riddles Djk. I didn't get the first one at all and gave up instantly (I'm 98% of people tongue.gif ), but I got the second one after a while..
I've only just realised how stupid I am; and how obvious the answer is when you know it.
Charles

rookie147 - You are not stupid!

It's all a matter of perception and defining the information given to you.

Hehe, maybe, I just lack the patience to try to work out complicated things like that; I just get bored/confused and give up.. tongue.gif

Aye! Rookie147.

Just like the initial question posed in this thread,
has been bantered about for near 100 years, or more.
It's called question zero or puzzel zero.
It's a basic psych study question.
Enjoy!

Well, I know the answer to the first one by reading what graveangel said.. wink.gif
But I worked the second one out myself, although I won't post the answer, it may ruin the fun for someone else.
