Researchers have discovered ways to hack laptops through 802.11 and Bluetooth even if they're not connected to an Access Point or another device.

Using data fuzzing techniques a couple of security researchers have been hammering away at various wireless card drivers to see what would happen and try to cause them to run arbitrary code (execute code of their choosing).
