My question is: Will I have to reinstall Windows and lose all my data after installing the new video card? I heard a reviewer at NewEgg say that you'd need to reinstall Windows when changing hardware, and last time I reinstalled Windows because of a malfunctioning Norton, I lost every single thing on the hard drive. I'd really like this answered before I lose my life. |

The reviews on Newegg and similar places are worthless. They are missinforming when they aren't flat out lies.
No, you do not need to reinstall Windows when getting a new graphics card. You have to uninstall the old graphics drivers and install the new ones. -------------------- "Anyone who cannot form a community with others, or who does not need to because he is self-sufficient [...] is either a beast or a god." Alright, thanks. I was always wondering if that was true or not.
