Wow! I'm totally lost now! I just point the durned thing and press the trigger (sorta like being back in the Army again). The hard part was getting them to sit still long enough to get the shot!

Actually, I'm better at it than my brother - we just can't frame a shot to save his life! smile.gif

Just don't refer to a picture as a "shot" when there's secret service nearby..... blink.gif They tend to frown upon that....speaking from experience sadly enough nono.gif

My 17 year old granny Ashley. smile.gif

You can tell by this picture she doesn't like pictures taken of her. At first she either kept running away from me and went and laid elsewhere or she wouldn't look at me even if I had a treat in my hand. She finally just gave in and of coarse she wasn't in the mood to smile. lmfao.gif

This is my first post on Bleeping Computer and, being the mad cat woman I am, it is only fitting that in my first post I show you a picture of one of my cats

This is Dexter

We had Dexter until he was 5 1/2 months old and then he disappeared. I am not sure how he got out of the house. We searched and searched for him, ringing up the Cats Home, all the vets and the RSPCA, putting his description on the radio, put up reward posters and put flyers inro letterboxes but, alas, we never found him. He has been gone 6 months and I still miss him dreadfully.

I hope someone nice found him and that he is in a good home.

This is Lola. Yes, I picked the name for her. My son actually took this shot, which I was rather impressed with. She's attempting to stick her fat head through a hole in the bottom of a desk (the one that you can run a bunch of cables through). She'd never make it through, she's fat. Ok, sorry, she's big boned tongue.gif

Hey BlackSpyder.
We have a cat (and a dog). Being a dog person I know that they will eat everything in sight until they explode but knowing nothing about cats we have always left water and cat bickies (dry food) in the laundry and our cat eats when she's hungry. We top it up all the time and it's never empty. She is 10 years old now and is fairly little. She spends most of her days outside or in the garage where she can sleep in peace. She is very solitary and rarely plays because she got squashed by a car as a kitten and has been nervous ever since!
So to answer your question.....I think they'll eat only what they need. Having said that....I have seen some super fat cats??? (So maybe I'm wrong)
Oh and her name is Grace and she's a grey tabby.

I have had cats for 14 yrs and have found small snacks are the best for mine anyway.
Found this on E HOW.COM.Hope this helps.
Instructions
QUOTE "STEP 1: Be sure to choose a reputable brand of cat food. Check with your veterinarian for recommendations. STEP 2: Feed your cat dry food as well as wet, canned food. Dry food helps keep her teeth cleaner. Read the label to be sure the nutrient level is appropriate to your cat's stage of life. Usually, cat food containing 34 to 38 percent protein and 19 to 22 percent fat provides a healthy balance. STEP 3: Remember that most cats are snackers or nibblers and like to eat small amounts of dry food throughout the day. STEP 4: Know that cats with digestive problems may require higher fiber content in their diet. Check with your veterinarian. STEP 5: Remember that cats begin to show their age at 8 to 10 years, with diminished abilities to smell, taste, chew and digest. Make sure an older cat has food that is highly digestible and palatable. STEP 6: Feed your cat a small, measured amount of canned food twice a day. Leave the dry food out so that he can snack throughout the day".UNQUOTE.

EDIT.Pet food canned Tuna is OK,but normal canned tuna is a no no.Chocolate is also bad for them, but I give mine a small treat one in a while.Google Cat Diet for more information. thumbup2.gif

I also have a 14 yr old kitty, Tom. I feed him the same, ½ can and dry. He is now a diabetic and I have to give him a shot of insulin twice a day. Do him and you a favor and cut the can food if you can.
BTW, he is doing fine now and is about 15lbs. That is down from his top weight of 32 lbs.

Beautiful cat acklan. Thankx for your advices too. I have one cat with 11 years old and the only food he eats is dry food. He doesn't want any other kind of food and until now he never was ill. his name is Silvestre and here is his pic:
