icon_bananas.gif Going bananas!

Hi guys
Been looking at some, not all tutorials and please to forgive if i,ve missed one on the above topic, but as a newbee, i sometimes struggle to understand the concepts of gigabytes, kilobytes etc, how i would know if i have lots of memory left on my pc, or what constitutes a need to upgrade. I feel a little bit lost in this area and a little foolish. If their already exists info on this then please to forgive and just discard my post. keep up the good work guys!! thumbup.gif

Ps. Is their a tutorial on how to input more memory into your pc ? or is that a ,job for the professionals am awash with all sorts of questions, sorry guys if you do,nt ask you wo,nt find out!!!! I must be feeling comfortable on this forum to ask such dumb questions!! boy was that along ps!! whistling.gif

Yours lizbeth

Elo lizbeth
Not sure if a tutorial exists for putting more memory in unsure.gif not been here long

As for memory
(I had a peek at your profile whistling.gif Purely research) 1BG of Ram (or1024MB)should be good for most things unless your thinking of playing BF2 (Battlefield 2)

anyway as us blokes say Size matters (subtle play on words) cool.gif

8 bits are equal to 1 byte.
1,024 bytes are equal to 1 kilobyte (KB).
1,024 kilobytes (KB) are equal to 1 megabyte (MB or Meg)
1,024 megabytes are equal to 1 gigabyte (GB or Gig)
1,024 gigabytes are equal to 1 terabyte. (TB)

as you can see 1GB is NOT 1000MB it is 1024MB ohmy.gif

Simple Huh
