Good evening.
Two of my spyware programs report as signficant the addition - or subtraction - of a slash to the end of the Google address bar. As in "google.com/" or "google.com". Is this really significant and, if so, which one should be the default address? Regards, miriamdances

I'm guessing we need to know what your "two" spyware progrms are by name.

Unless you still have some residuals left over from the previous HJT cleanings,
you shourld not be experiencing any problems.

You should not be seeing any amendments to the "google" search parameters.

You might want to bump this item to the HJT forum and resubmit a fresh HJT log
for our Pro's to check out again. Appears to me that there still might be a problem
there.

~Koan

Thank you for your reply, Koan.
You could be right about needing to go back to HijackThis with another log, because I also have another issue about Kernel Fault Check and dumprep which I asked a question about under other applications.
I will work on a new HijackThis log tomorrow and post it as you suggest in that forum. I quess that means we close this post, is that right?
Thank you again for your help Koan.
Regards, miriamdances

I'm not entirely sure that is your problem.

But it's best that we (you & I) allow the HJT team to overview your logs to ensure
that we have some idea of what might be happening with your system. LOL

As if I had any real idea!

Best of Luck on cleaning up your system
regards,
~Koan
