This is something I can laugh at about the RIAA!
They have went to far and need somebody to make them hush.

If I had $35,000 laying around I sued them, just to prove a point and get them to shut up. They are too greedy for there own good.

Wow. Looks like Microsoft finally found a rival for stupidity.
Seriously though, this is going waaaaay too far. Next thing you know, Ill be at home listening to a cd that I bought with my own money, and if a family member in the next room can hear it, then its breaking the law, since THEY didnt buy the cd.
Or if youre in your car with someone listening to your cd, its breaking the law, since the other person didnt buy the cd themselves.
And what about those MP3 players that can record music from the radio? It will just be that XM thing all over again.
I MEAN COME ON!!!!! This is-ing stupid!!!!!! Who knows how long it is until the radio becomes illegal?
Enjoy your music while you can.....

Well I can't wait until the Radio is considered to be illegal. THe artists don't get paid for everytime a single person listens to a song on the radio....

Crazy, simply crazy. Someone needs to sue the RIAA for all that they're worth, and then some. Shut them up forever. It must be nice to be going around, suing dead people, demanding to examine peoples hdd's, taking elderly grandmothers to court with claims of downloading music from the internet only to find out that the grand mother has an old Apple that doesn't support P2P software (yes, charges were dropped) and threatening people to pay them money or they'll take them to court, which in itself should be illegal. RIAA.....grrrrrrrrrr.

Would the Fine "powers that be" in Canada please explain the difference between listing to MP3's and the radio? the one that came with the car or any of the aftermarket replacement units that are MP3 compatible ?

Who cares if they are at work and want to watch it later? They are violating the law by recording copyright material!!!! */sarcastic voice*
The Riaa (and the Mpaa) need to get a clue. Besides...isn't threatening people to pay them or go to court extortion? And isn't that illegal as well?

IF it isn't illegal it should be. Scaring your customers into paying is just going to drive them further away.
