Half life 2 is pretty fun, and you can really get into it the first few times you play through it.
Far Cry is another good choice, the environments are huge and the gameplay is pretty good.
I've never played F.E.A.R, but i've heard that it's not really that great.

The AI in fear is good, but the game just stinks. Its all about the cramped environments with barley any light.

Sure you haven't mixed it up with Doom 3? I kind of liked it. I wouldn't say it is any more cramped than your average indoors FPS. But I can defiantly say that it is not a dark game. Yes, the storyline is dark, the atmosphere is dark, but disregarding a few exceptions the game was well light. The feel of the firefights was what carries it, what really makes it stand out from the rest.

Star Wars Battlefront II is the best 1st person shooter imo. Its like Halo only better, with more strategy imo (for the campaigns). I havent played this one online, but i can tell it'd be loads of good times.

I mean, cmon, u get to swing a lightsaber!

Battlefront 2 isn't an FPS. It's in third person.

Anybody played through Prey yet?

I didn't think it was amazing, but it was alright.
