Hello. I have heard that this forum is awesome. I need some advice. I have windows XP Home. I have installed Zone Alarm Plus and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9. I did a system restore about a week ago and since then cannot get Zone Alarm to load. I thought I would just uninstall Zone Alarm and reinstall. No. I get an error message when I try to uninstall that says I am not authorized to perform this action, please retry from a system administrators account. Well I am the only user on this pc and I AM the system admin. Also Jasc PSP has an automatic update function. When I am prompted to download updates I get them but when I try to install them I get the same error message as with Zone Alarm. This has happened before with other software I try to download from the net but it was never a real issue until now.

Thanks for your help

Sheila

Go into safe mode, log on as Admin, then try to uninstall ZA.
