lol, I've gone by the saying (that I just made up)

"Once you go CZ, theres no going back (1.6)."

I never bothered with CZ. My friends and I just played 1.6 until Source came out.

Even after, we still have played 1.6 now and again...for a lan, or perhaps when someone wants to play and doesn't own a Source-worthy machine. Anyway, 1.6 comes right back...it's just as much fun in terms of game-play...even though its engine 'dates back from antiquity.'

But I have always been of the opinion that graphics and appearance are far less important than game-play.

Someone just mentioned CoD 2…how does it compare to the first one? I have had the first one for a relatively short time and feel like I haven’t played it enough to bother buying the new one. I picked up the gold edition and haven’t even tried the expansion pack, United Offensive.

Mystic quest <-- Very old RPG like game for the gameboy.
Deus EX <-- Both the original and Invisible Wars. Those two games kept me going for months smile.gif
Half Life 2 <-- And Source of course.
Diablo II <-- Who can forget this classic.
Every Command and Conquer game. <-- Everyone has played a game in this series before. Tiberian Sun, the *best* RTS that I have ever played.
Bomberman <-- Used to spend hours playing this game.
Metal Gear Solid <-- Played a demo somewhere, then went out and bought it and Metal Gear Solid 2. Snake Eater was a tiny bit of a let down, and MGS 4, I haven't seen the trailers for it yet, so I can't really comment on that.

Odd..... this thread's been here for a while and i haven't posted... i must be slacking....

Anyway, my favorite game of all time is a very close tie between Metal Gear Solid 3 and MGS1. Mgs3 was the only game that actually got me so involved, a tear (single one, mind you) escaped from my eye during the ending. No other game has been able to pull me in that much.

Honorable mentions:
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (Ps2)
Starseige: Tribes (PC).... the online multiplayer was freakin awesome
Half-Life 1 and 2
Counter-Strike..... all of them
World of Warcraft
Final Fantasy 7 and 8 (Ps1)
Rival Schools (fighting game for ps1)
Tomb Raider 2 (Ps1)
Mortal Kombat 3 (Genesis)
Comix Zone (Genesis)
Blades of Steel (NES)
Kirby (original) (NES)

Man there are so many games I could list here, im sure I will miss a few but here it goes.

C&C Red Alert <---Uncountable saturday mornings were spent with this game
Starcraft and Brood Wars
Diablo I
Roller Coaster Tycoon
Half Life
CS 1.6 I never got into CZ
Battlefield 1942 + the expansions R2R, Secret Weapons
C&C Generals
Splinter Cell + 2 and 3, Chaos Theory was amazing
Half Life 2
CS:S <----Probably the most time I have ever spent with one game
FEAR
Rome:Total War
NHL 05 and 06, I was always frustrated by some part of these games but still played
NFS: Most Wanted
Battlefield 2

As you can tell I have played alot of games, not so much time to play at the moment but once I go back to school I'll be back on the video games.

I believe that Grandia 2 was released on the PC.

But anyway, best game of all time is Final Fantasy Tactics.

But not the stupid gameboy advance sequel.
