I am usnure of just why this stuff seems to happen to me but it does. Anyways I did the steps to change my start button. Followed the steps as far as I know 100% the same. Now my pc will not show any incons on startup. Just sits there showing my background pic. I am able to get into safe mode. What should I do? Fix??............

I guess you missed my last post to the original thread on this subject.

I had to do a restore this afternoon.

Also, check out "JacktheHacks" referal to the "Elder Geeks" site posting. your fix might be there.

I was able to hit ctrl+alt+del to get my task manager up. I manually started explorer.exe which after this did not start up(the reason im having trouble)
So I can use my pc in normal mode but none of the icons work!
