What makes a computer drive slowly?
P4 2.8Ghz
80GB Hardrive
1,024mb ram
Radeon 9800SE Pro 256mb graphics/video
INternet: Broadband (DSL 256kb/ps).
Loading up takes a few minutes. Downloading files is fine.
Changing from 1 webpage to another is slow (like dial up)
Open programs takes 30sec to open. sometimes.
Would it be the hard drive being 2 years old and it's going to die or is it something else.
I know virus programs lag a lot of PC's because they run all the time while on the internet.
I know for a fact the PC ran great without the internet and virus programs because it didn't have to load them. So something is driving me down.
