I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT600 motherboard with an AMD 1.2 GHz processor. When I try to turn on the computer it runs for 1-3 secs. then shuts off. Ive tried several brand new hard drives and same thing. If i disconnect the power to the hard drive it starts up fine. After maybe ten tries then it may start and run fine however once i turn it off its the same all over againg.

Anyone ever here of this symptom and have and suggestions?

Have you added any new hardware in the computer recently?

Usually a hard drive should not stopt he computer from booting unless you have a powersupply problem and the hard drive is pulling too much juice.

Do you have a problem if you pull out other components like the cd rom drives?
