What's the difference between a moderator and a global moderator? Reason I ask is that I've just come into being "in charge" of a forum, and there's an option of making some one either a mod or a global mod, and TBH, I don't know what the difference is.

Thanks in advance!

Hello stevealmighty!

Well... a global moderator.. has more board permissions and may have more forums visible to them than moderators but they do essentially the same things ie, split, move, edit posts and stand guard basically. It depends on how admin wants to set permissions for the board. Essentially there is not a lot of difference. Sometimes a global moderator could be a representative for admin for some issues, more so than a moderator.
