Hey, I am close to applying for college and computer REALLY interests me.

I was just wondering, I know that there are some IT people on this forum, and wanted to know to become like Head of IT and stuff for a large corparation in a big city and work like in the server farms and stuff what kind of education do you need...

I really like working with networking and server managing and I have always wanted to take a laptop go in front of a rack and plug in and type fancy things on the keyboard

While knowing hardware, software, and some elements of programming is very useful, the real money( and challenge, to my mind) is in managing, which requires a high proficiency in communication, people management, and organizational skills. Choose your electives carefully and don't disdain a few business courses, and minor in something like English Literature or Philosophy.
