Heh, qbasic. Reminds me of GWBASIC (anyone know what I'm talking about?).
Undeclared variables, GOSUB's, inverted coordinate systems...good times, good times |

I think C is the best language for a beginner. For C is more active in some cases, but it won't make the beginner feel it is difficult to learn.

QUOTE(smilewithme @ Mar 18 2005, 07:14 AM) I think C is the best language for a beginner. For C is more active in some cases, but it won't make the beginner feel it is difficult to learn. Thankfully I can see the sarcasm in it... With pointer indirection and operator overloading (and other programmatic jokes) this can be one of the toughest languages to master... Especially for maintenance programming. I've been working with C(++) for the last 10 years so I do think I know what I'm talking about ;) Do yourself a favor... If you want to learn how to program, start with languages like Basic and evolve into C++. Because ultimately that is the language! (Apart from Assembly, that is) -------------------- |
