Hi - my name is Alan and I am a NOOB.
I have a digital camera and I have been saving pictures to my hard drive. I have ad CD/DVD drive that can burn cds/dvds.
The operating software is Windows XP and the hardware is a dell system.
I have tried to copy my pictures from the hard drive to a disk (DVD-R) and follow the instructions - the first step is to format the disk. When I try to do that the system gives me a message to install the disk even though I have already installed it. Somehow it does not seem to recognize the DVD-R format. My nephew visited once and was able to do it but I did not understand how he did it.
Any help would be appreciated - I am moving and want to save the pic on disk before moving. Also - can you then put it in a dvd player and see the pictures?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Alan the Noob.
