Help With Civilization 3 Complete

Hello, I recently bought this game, installed it and everything with that was fine. I went to start to play the game, and the main menu came up, but its was in 3 different screens with scan lines through all of it. Can someone help me fix this problem so I can play this alsome game.

might have to go into the games options and check the screen res out

well, I cant get into the options, becasue I cant see where they are located at on teh screen.
