Which Linux do you have? If it is a full install on it's own partition you only have to format the partition. If you have a live version you may only have to delete the files that reside in the folder in windows.
How do you place it on your computer?

Go to command prompt and put

Format (drive):
replace the drive for the hard drive letter then the semi-colon
Warning
this will completely wipe the drive and linux will be gone
Go to the top of the page
