Zelda first came out (in Japan, and then in the US a short time later) on February 21, 1986, and ushered in a new type of adventure game.
Cheers,
John

I never got a nintendo 64, the only old console I had was a NES.

I grew up with Metal Gear Solid and Half Life. Before that was mario, Star Force, and world cup soccer.

I loved the first Zelda! Of course, I remember the days of the Atari 2400, with a joystick that had one button! Space invaders anyone?! There there was the original NES....long live metal gear! And who would've thought to make a game where to beat it you have to actually hit the reset button!!!!!!

My friend and I would play the original for NES forever. I think eventually we wore out the "gold" covering on the cartridge. Truly an amazing game, I can't imagine where games would be without it.
