* How to take as screenshot from a running .avi video (Windows Mediaplayer) *

Guide:

If you want to capture a screenshot from an .avi video playing in Windows Mediaplayer, you'll notice that it's not as simple as it sounds. Just pausing the video and taking a screenshot using <ctrl> + <PrintScreen> won't work, neither does capturing a screenshot with f.e. mwsnap or hoversnap: the picture is moving, all is black ...
But it is possible this way:

Instructions:
  • Pause the Windows Mediaplayer on the frame you want to capture, by using the pause button
  • Select in the menu of the mediaplayer "Tools" > "Options"
  • Click tab "Performance"
  • In the "Video acceleration" area, move the slider to turn down or turn off video acceleration
  • Click button "Apply"

  • Then take the screenshot with your screencapture-tool or <ctrl> + <PrintScreen> (*)
    screenshot 2
  • Afterwards, move the slider back to "Full"

Looks Little tough though,Its better if we do it with Vlc Player
"Early in the morning, late one night, two dead brothers arose to fight.
Back-to-back, they faced one another, drew their swords, and shot eachother!
The deaf policeman heard the noise, and came to arrest these two dead boys.
If you don't believe this lie I tell you, ask the blind man; he saw it too!"
