Would that be fine with you if you invite you to "Post your landcape photo" thread?
I don't do much landscape shooting scOObie, other than sunrise, and sunset scenes.
I mostly stick to close-ups and macro shots.
The landscape around here is pretty boring.
I'll look through my photos, and see if I can come up with something.

I use an old P&S camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5
No geckos here.
Just skinks, and lizards.
Lizards are easy to shoot.
Skinks don't let you get within 4 feet of them, so I've yet to get a good shot of one of them.

No removable lenses.
It's a point-and-shoot that's considered a bridge camera.
It bridges the gap from the basic, no frills P&S, and a full DSLR.
I just use the macro setting for my macro shots.
It automatically sets the f/stop and shutter speed based on available light and the focus distance.
Most of my macros, like the wasp images, were taken within 6 inches of the subject.
Most of my shots are hand-held, but the wasp was taken using a tripod.
Considering how close I had to get, I didn't want any sudden movement to piss it off.
Them things hurt, when they sting.
When I want a specific DOF (depth of field) on a close-up, I'll use the Aperture setting and let the camera select the shutter speed.

Good for you, your lens is safe unlike mine I used reverse ring an adapter at the end of the lens so I can attach the end of the lens to the body of camera and the inner lens will be on the end. So it not safe because the inner lens can easily scratch but it's alright because I got a great bokeh of all my macro shots.
DSLR Body + Kitlens(P3000 peso here in Philippines)+ Reverse Ring (P300) = Cheap Macro with a great Depth of Field(bokeh)

The first 2 are of my buddy, I call George.
At work yesterday, he hung around on my arm for about 4 hours, until I put him back on the wall.
He was easy to keep track of, because he ticked when he moved around.
Liked my forearm for some reason, because he never went past the elbow.

I use the site quite a bit.
I like that you can submit photos, and they tell you what the insect is.
