Wow that was quite the process. I always thought I was quite saavy to my computer vulnerablities, but I guess I wasn't. I am currently using Firefox, do you think I should switch to IE and use the settings you provided? Also, I would like to donate to this website but didn't see a link.... Can you direct me to one?
Seriously thank you so much. My computer is only 10 months old, and I was ready to throw it out!!

It's ok to continue using Firefox. A few addons I recommend: Adblock Plus, WOT and NoScript
The website doesn't accept donations but if you wish you may donate to some good cause here
