BleepingComputer.com: Virus/spyware problem

I have a computer with windows xp pro.

I ended up having a spyware and virus attack a few days ago. I use avast as a virus program, and spybot S&D. They both found the problems but was unable to remove it. A friend suggested using combofix.

I installed another virus program called immunet and removed avast. immunet antivirus program just freezes.

I then went into safe mode and used combofix, following all the instructions carefully, and it found a rootkit.access installed on my computer. It could not remove it. So a friend suggested sophos rootkit remover program.

I left it running overnight scanning and it found a few problems before it finished the whole scan.

Next morning, i woke up to a re-boot,All my files are hidden and different desktop background (old one). I was able to unhide the files but they are transluant. I get a sound through the speaker saying "Congratulations you won". no source found.

Now the current problem i am having is, my compurer freezes after 30 min, and im unable to run anti-viral program completely to finish a scan and see if its still infected.

Since you ran Combofix, Please follow the instructions in ==>Malware Removal and Log Section Preparation Guide<==.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include the link to this topic in your new topic and a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
