My Windows Media Player 11 library (running in XP SP2) suddenly went blank yesterday, for no discernible reason. I can still play files by clicking on them directly, but they never show up in the library. If I try to add folders to the library, nothing happens and those folders are gone from the pane again the next time I try it. I have tried everything I've seen suggested elsewhere so far - deleting my wmdb library files, disabling media sharing, deleting the entire media player folder, even deleting and reloading WMP 11 itself. Nothing seems to fix this problem. I can run WMP fine from a different Windows profile, but from my main profile the program seems stone cold dead no matter what I do. Any suggestions?

Done. Did absolutely nothing to fix the WMP problem though.

I ran the Fixit from the Microsoft site and that seems to have done the trick. It seems there was a registry corruption for some reason, which corrupted the media sharing, which did in the library. Now the media sharing is fixed and the library is reloading.
