Every night before I close down for bed I scan my computer with Super Anti-Spyware. Usually it will turn up an item or two of ad ware, occasionally something more malicious, but about a week ago it came out with something like sixty different threats. Immediately after the scan was done I deleted the bad software and tried to run a scan with malware bytes. Only, it’d inexplicably stopped working. It wouldn’t let me do anything. So, instead I scanned my computer with Avast and it pulled up something like thirty-two threats. Again, I cleaned them all off.
The next night I had a similar experience. This went on until about two days ago when I decided to test something out. I scanned my computer, removed all the malicious stuff, and then scanned it again immediately after. Sure enough, between the few seconds it took me to remove the threats detected by the first scan and start the second one more threats had gotten onto my computer. Since then I’ve been running my virus software almost non-stop but it doesn’t seem to be helping. On the contrary, some of the threats are getting progressively worse. For example, yesterday I detected a Trojan Dropper. I thought maybe that was the problem, but even after removing it I’m still having the same issue.
In addition to this, my computer is running extremely slowly. My browser is constantly crashing, and anytime I open more than two or three tabs the computer locks up.
I decide to try and manually track down the problem so I pulled up task manager and started going through the list of processes. I typed each process into a google search bar and gathered information on whether they were supposed to be running and where they were supposed to be located. Everything seemed to be in order, except one file was labeled in blue instead of black and another was locked so that I couldn’t even scan it. Oh, and I found that my maleware bytes was running even though I'd told it to stop. I clicked to cancel the process and it ignored my prompt so I completely removed it from my computer. The process is no longer showing up but the other problems persist.
Not sure what else to do. Any help?
