When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.

Do not bump your topic. We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump.

while running TFC I encountered/generated a problem (accidentally sat on my mouse, clicking the window) causing the program to go a little haywire. it messed with the registry so that I could not log in to my computer. however, when I mentioned this to my father he found the fix easily enough by following the steps outlined in support.microsoft.com/kb/947215, following method one.

Before I resume trying to fix things, I wanted to know, will having run this fix interfere with any of the programs you are having me run?

well, it appears that I may actually getting a new laptop shortly, and this one is getting reformatted for my dads casual use(I love having a tech hungry father).
