Posted Image Unfortunately, with the amount of logs we receive per day, the average response time is 5 days. I want to assure you, though, that your topic will be looked at and responded to. So please be patient.


Posted Image DO NOT RUN ComboFix unless requested to.


Posted Image Only members of the Malware Response Team or Moderators are allowed to help people with logs. Anyone else should refrain from posting to another user's log.


Posted Image When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.


Posted Image Do not bump your topic. We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump.

Thank you, I tried running Internet Explorer without add-ons and it still didn't work, but I clicked through to the Microsoft troubleshoot page from the link you gave and eventually managed to sort it out.

I also ran the Secunia Software Inspector again and it completed the scan this time, but it still said that Skype and Adobe Flash Player need updating even though I've already updated them both to the latest versions. Should I just ignore it?

You can try two things. uninstall both programs and then reinstall them or ignore it

what was it? I had to check the box in Internet Options that says 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering'.


You can try two things. uninstall both programs and then reinstall them or ignore it
I uninstalled then reinstalled them both and then ran the scan again and it said everything is up to date now :)
