Vista Blank/black desktop Security Shield Virus

Hey guys,

I followed the steps to remove the "Security Shield" virus and when I went to restart my computer I got a black desktop with "my documents" open. I have access to Task Manager where I ended explorer.exe and started a new explorer.exe task which then brings my desktop back. However, this is only a temporary fix. I also went into regedit and set the WindowsNT Shell to explorer.exe, yet the problem still persists. I also saw my Malwarebytes quarantine tab had a bunch of trojans listed and one was in the registry affecting winlogon and another under C:\Users\MyName\winlogon.exe. Both were trojan.downloader. I will post an image of this

I want my desktop back without having to use Task Manager etc
