BleepingComputer.com: itunes - shift itunes not giving me library choice option

I know full well how to manage multiple itunes libraries BUT recently, I have been having LOADS of trouble getting the pop up box to come up when I hit shift and itunes. It takes more than 20-25 tries and even then sometimes I just give up. I have maintained 3 separate libraries for 2-3 years and out of nowhere this is what is happening. It is making me crazy and I can't get help other then to be told Hold Shift and click Itunes to choose your library or make a new one. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to correct this problem? I don't know where to start and if I click shift+itunes one more time and have the library I am NOT looking to open, open up, I will scream.
