When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

A virus has deleted/hidden a TON of files on my computer! It started by wiping things off every time I re-started and eventually it quit starting up altogether. I got a SystemMechanic CD and that got it running again but there are no files in my libraries and things are still hidden. I'm very anxious about it because there were almost all of the photos of my kids on here and I worry that they are not recoverable! Is there anything I can do?

Oh, the last time I was on my computer before I got it running with SystemMechanic, I downloaded Avast, Malware-byte, and Spybot and did a full clean-up of everything, it was when I was instructed to restart that it wouldn't start up. The photos are still gone although according to those programs the computer is free of any viruses.
