No, I don't think you need to use System Restore if you have have been able to start Windows and uninstall Spybot! That step was intended as a means to disable Driver Verifier, so that you could get Windows started without it crashing on you.
Can you now start Windows normally?
Have you disabled Driver Verifier or is it still running? If the problem with your system crashing has been resolved, you should turn off Driver Verifier.
