Hi,
I hope someone can help.
Win32/WinMaximizer is on my computer but I am unable to locate the program to remove.
I've done a file search,including hidden files,no results;I've gone into task manager again nothing.
I just keep running around in circles.

This may be known as PCFighter.
Lets try removing it this way.
I'd like us to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan
NOTE: In some instances if no malware is found there will be no log produced.
Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.
Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.
Run TFC by OT (Temp File Cleaner)
Please download TFC by Old Timer and save it to your desktop.

- Scan for potentially unsafe applications
- Enable Anti-Stealth technology
- Scan potentially unwanted applications
- ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
- When the scan completes, push

, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply. - Push the

- List Devices <<-SKIP
- List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
- List Minidump Files

OK,did all of that,39 threats found most with win32 in the title yet my computer doesn't find any win32 programs installed.
I exported the report to a txt.file but don't know how to attach to this message. Thank you for all the help.

i have had the same problem for days.i think i finally figured it out.what u need to do is go into ur programs,click on my computer,then disk C:,click on search for files and folders,then click all files and folders,search fighters...........then delete all of them.then rerun ur scan and it should be gone........hope this works for u too..........
