I work on used/abused Toshiba laptops. On several occasions I have found the physical wireless switch wont operate - even after stripping to and examining the motherboard. In all these cases the internal wireless will not operate: the message "no networks in range" is shown.
I have asked Toshibe if there is a way to make the wireless work when the switch wont, but they are only interested in selling a new motherboard or laptop.
Does anyone know of a way to bypass the u/s switch and get wireless without an external PC or USB card?
Thanks

Why bother to replace when you can just buy a USB wireless adapter?
