Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I am constantly getting a BSOD (every session), which ususally happens after I close Firefox or switch programs (minimize, etc). It seems to happen most when I switch from Firefox or close it off. (Firefox 10.0, that is)

BlueScreenView log below:
For some reason, the logs only cover the BSOD from today and two days ago. It has happened much more than that.

I have the latest, stable version of Firefox.

Now I've discovered the BSODs have nothing to do with Firefox, as one happened after I set my antivirus to scan overnight.

I would very much appreciate it if someone could help me. It is very important that I get this fixed.

More info I've discovered:

-I cannot run antivirus scans, because it BSOD's while scanning (I left it overnight to scan, the computer rebooted the second I opened the lid).
-The crash is not due to overheating, as I've cleaned out the vents, fans etc. of dust.
-It seems to happen a certain range of time into uptime, but will not (usually) happen if it's just sitting there at the desktop, without any programs running.
-Linux Mint, my other OS installed on this laptop, is not giving me any errors or crashes (yet); it seems to only happen in Windows 7.
-I don't know if this is a hardware issue or not. How many passes should I run for Memtest?
-utorrent (while seeding) gives me a balloon error that the device (presumably the hard drive) cannot be found just seconds before I get the BSOD. Every time. Could this signify a hard drive issue?

Those two error messages aren't a lot to go on, see F4 on the right and 7A on left at http://www.aumha.org/a/stop.htm .

Generally...errors pointing at ntoskrnl.exe may be malware...combine that with the fact that you download torrents, cannot run an AV scan...I would suggest posting a topic in Am I Infected Forum or asking me to move this to that forum.

I would try to rule out malware before trying to pursue it as if it's hardware or Windows.

I am currently scanning in Safe Mode with SUPERantispyware , then I'll follow with Malwarebytes. So far SUPERantispyware found a trojan. I will post the results once the scan is completed.

If you think this thread would be more suited in the malware section, you may move it.

SUPERantispyware found 22 pieces of malware, then Malwarebytes found 14. All of them were removed successfully. I have not had another BSOD since; so the issue appears to have indeed been malware.

Problem is now solved. Thank you for the help.
