Hi Farbar, the scannow took about 2 mins to complete

I was attempting to try the first step but when i opened up my laptop, it said that my computer was unable to start and it did a repair procedure. Then my window finally started and then i restart to try out the first step and it was sucessful. But now i cant start my window again and it gave me the two option to repair window automatically, and start window normally. I tried the repair option but it did not fix it, and offered to do a system restore. So i click yes but it still did not fix this poblem and now it gave me the repair option everytime i start. I also tried Start Window automatically but no luck, it will just keep restart. So i tried the repair again but it said it cannot repair automatically.

I was not able to continue step 2 because i cannot start my laptop

Thank you

Hi, Farbar

The owner of the infecting laptop wanted to restore his computer to factory state after seeing what happened to it so I have no other choice. We are doing the restoring to factory state procedure now.

I am sorry for not asking you before doing this because that is not my laptop.

Thank you and i will let you know how it goes

Hi Farbar

after doing the restore to factory state step, window still not unable to start. It keep giving the repair option but that does nothing. What do you think we should do?

Thank you

Hi audioworm,

There is nothing we can do. The only remaining option is a reformat reinstall.

Hi Farbar

Sorry for that, I told him he should had follow your instruction instead but he was really freaked out because it was his comp. I guess we would have to reinstall it now and hopefully it will work.

Thank you again for your help.

No worries audioworm for not following the instruction. With that system I understand the frustration of the owner. If there is no hardware issue reinstalling should work.

And you are most welcome. :)
