Try going into windows explorer (right start button choose explore) and look for it under the desktop folder, if not there, look for it near the bottom of the folder list. If you find it, click and drag it to your desktop. If You cannot find it there try these steps.

1. Right-click an empty area of your desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Click the Desktop tab
4. Click the Customize button
5. Click Restore Default
Exit all windows and restart your computer
