I'm "cleaning" my friends computer. In msconfig its listed a startup program called homePgui.exe. And I'm wondering what it does. I've search on google, but i can't find a description anywhere. So, s it safe to just remove it. I don't want to ruin my friends computer, as she knows even less about computers than I do... |

It looks to be something that comes with NEC programs. I am not 100% sure what it does, but I am going to hazard a guess that it is most likely NOT necessary to start automatically.

Hi Melle and welcome to BC.
That should be safe to disable at startup using msconfig. It seems to be a program specific to NEC Computers. If it creates a problem you can re-enable it.
