I'm afraid that the manual and apple support page are of no help. The suggestions offered by both have already been implemented with no change in my problem. I reset the password on the 2.4ghz band today and it is working for now, but I know that won't last. Both bands are using the same security settings (wpa2) and password. The only difference is they have a different SSID.

Does anyone have any insight or further suggestions I could look into?

I'm sorry I cannot find other reasons as to why its having intermittent disconnection. Can you clarify on the quotes of different SSID? Does it mean it acts with two different network i.e. network name, password, ghz band...?
