After using Unhide.exe to restore your files and folders that have been hidden from a virus infection you may notice that your start menu will have folders but is lacking everything else

here is how to Fix it, should also work for Vista users aswell.

• Go to C:\ Drive
• Users
• <UserName>
• AppData
• Local
• Tmp
• Locate folder called smtmp and open
• Then open folder called 1
• Copy everything in folder
• Go back to AppData
• Roaming
• Microsoft
• Windows
• Startmenu
• Then paste the copied data
• Start menu is now restored :D

I'm sure I'll have a chance to test that shortly. Thanks because I ran into that recently and ended up just re-imaging, lol.

Bookmarked!

no problem, i have seen a lot of people with this issue and most responses they have got have been re-install/re-image their machines, and if they use malwarebytes to remove the infection first then follow the above, it will save them hours of data back up and reinstalling software
