When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello narenxp,

I FOUND THAT TOO AND IT WORKED, EXCEPT FOR THE WINDOWS WEBPAGE IT ALSO DISPLAYED IN THE LEFT CORNER, BUT i REMEMBERED SEEING THAT ON THE DESKTOP PROPERTIES, just had to uncheck it. Sorry about them CAPS. I previously traced it down to a key in the reg, it was missing a subkey under HKCR\CLSID\....\ExtShellFolderViews (if I recall), I hate messing w/reg. But it's there now. And windows explorer works properly too. Go figure. All I tried to do was paste the shortcut I copied for the fixit.

All seems well. I would still like to hear if you have had any experience w/AVG free? Maybe when of the others I mentioned are better now?And also about the donations.

I've always had good experiences with everyone at bleepingcomputer and hope to see it continue.

Thanks again,
rpsupporter

I want you do this again

Download

TFC

Launch it,it will close all running programs

click on START,it should ask for reboot

Turn off your system restore, restart the PC,create a new restore point

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405

AVG is good,i would suggest you to run malwarebytes ,super antispyware scan once in a week.

Bleeping computer as a site doesnot accept donations currently

Thanks
