I used itunes to put music(cd's that i own) onto my computer but now i want to convert them to use in mediaplayer. How do i convert these songs to mediaplayer?

Free, costs nothing to try. I have used it to take audio captures from a USB turntable and convert them.
I used a preset to to correct audio pitch problem caused by capturing a 78RPM record at 45RPM so it sounds normal. The USB turntable does not do 78RPM.

Actually, if you just want to convert an unprotected .aac file (music ripped from your own CDs in Itunes should not have any DRM issues) to the most common format, .mp3 -- you can do that from within Itunes. Highlight the file, or group of files, right click, and select "Create an MP3 version."
