I can restart the spooler, but it crashes when trying to print or trying to open a printer.
I have cleared out drivers and printer, added them back in, but no luck.

I once asked someone to run chkdsk /r and a BC Advisor smacked me in the back of the head.

Download the 'HP LaserJet P2035 and P2035n GDI Plug and Play Package' and install. Reboot.
Any change?

Please follow this guide. The first section is basically a more comprehensive version of what you just did, so I recommend you still follow it.
Relate back any changes.
