Hello, I am new to the site and I have a total rookie question! I want to remove a ton of pictures from my old computer onto a USB flash drive. I'm am not at all familiar with the size's of flash drives. I have approximately 4 years worth of photo's I would like to save from the old computer so obviously I need a large storage space. This is where I need the help, what size do I need?

As I said I'm a total rookie when it comes to this. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

It depends on how many photos you have and the size they were taken at. I have a friend with over 80Gb of photos. You can get flash drives that size, but an external hard drive will be a lot cheaper.

If you right click on the folder with all the photos in and select properties, it will give you the size of space they are taking up.

Using USB Flash drive as a back up is not a good idea, as recovery becomes difficult if something happnes.

As diff said : A HDD would be lot cheaper and reliable.
