BleepingComputer.com: New desktop computer question

So I was going to get a laptop, but I just decided to build a desktop instead. I don't know too too much about computers, so here's what I've picked out so far:

I'm just going to put my current HD in the computer.

What do you guys think about this so far? Any suggestions?

First off, what's it for?

And the operating system.

You also need a thermal paste (to apply to the CPU).

Hopefully you already have a moniter?

You also need a set of speakers and a sound card. An SSD would also improve boot time*. They're expensive though.

A aftermarket cooler is not needed as the cpu comes with a stock cooler which is fine. Thermal paste is already with the stock cooler. A sound card is not necessary for gaming unless it is for music production. A SSD would improve boot time but if the games would have to go on a separate drive unless you purchase a large SSD which is priced really high. You should change the power supply to something like this because 910W is not necessary even for dual graphics card configuration and the power supply is modular which keeps it neat. For the graphics card, something like this is better in value because it's faster then the 560TI and it's cheaper.
