Service packs are the hotfixes and security updates rolled into one file.

Do you perhaps mean the difference between 2008 and 2008 R2 ?

Oh ok thanks and what about IP addresses and subnetting do you have a website or source where they can explain it in a simpler form. I'm having problems grasping how to assign subnets or create one. thanks
