When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I'm having issues with my computer where it's alerting me to suspected viruses and directing me to buy antivirus protection. I cannot access certain pages; when I try I get a statement that the page is possibly permanently deleted or unavailable. I'm mostly seeing this when I try to click on downloads for virus protection.

When I finally was able to click on Norton to download it I received "Internal Error:Failed to Expand Shell Folder Constant "userappdata"

The warnings I'm being shown on my desktop (of which include "stealth intrusion" "privacy breach"), when clicked, do an automatic scan that reveal to me that I'm infected with Trojans and Worms.

I'm not exactly sure what to do at this point as I can't seem to download any virus protection and when I do scans it tells me there are no viruses on the computer.

Look for FSS.txt file in a same location where FSS.exe is located.

I ran in safe mode and attempted to open the program. I was presented with a warning that it could be unsafe (like most programs I try to open) I asked it to allow me to open the file however it simply didn't open.

Im having that issue with almost all my programs when I ask it to allow an open.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
