I have a customer who has the xp 2012 antivirus, virus and she wants to access the internet, I can't get over to her place and fix the problem until Thursday, I have a half hour between my two works on Wednesday, and am wondering if I install Google Chrome onto her computer in that time, will it provide her with a temporary fix around the problem? I know the xp 2012 hit firefox and xp, but does it also hit chrome? and does it actually prevent installation of the program?(it's freaking annoying to be honest, she has malwarebytes and she has trend micro titanium and yet still managed to get this silly annoyance)

I'm going to try to install chrome(and even firefox) in that half hour, but just wondering if I'm wasting my time?

Hi - A total waste of time -
The infection hits the COMPUTER and not the browser or a specific system (XP Vista Win7)
It is in the computers files now and will not just walk out - It must be removed ASAP -

Thank You -
XP SP3 Pro Desktop - Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium Toshiba Laptop - Malwarebytes - SUPERAntiSpyware - Microsoft Security Essentials -
HiJack This - SpeedFan - Cannon Printer - ATF Cleaner - TFC Cleaner - ORCA and Internet Explorer Browsers -
Secunia PSI - And I Use GOOGLE -
