Hello

New to forum, new to problems...old with computers (dos 1 times) but not particularly skilled. Former tech writer in telecom-land (AT&T, Lucent, etc). Provide, ahem, technical support to my children and other relatives who know less than I do.

In another life I was a printer's devil (an apprentice pressman).

Bill

Welcome to BC!
I don't know the term for being a dockworker, but I think "printer's devil" is very good. It's a term I had not heard for a very long time.
Regards,
John

Thanks.

I think the term for dockworker, from my memory, was "Hey, you, get this loaded onto bay 12."
